Utah Road and Recreation Atlas; Benchmark, pages 96.

A friend of mine just bought the Utah Road and Recreation Atlas and now I am jealous. In the brief hour I spent thumbing through the Atlas, I learned a great deal about the geology and layout of the land and learned things that tend to be hidden in other area maps.

The Atlas uses a well designed scheme of colors and shades to indicate elevation. The maps also give the rivers of the state their fair due. The rivers are as bold as the roads, making it very easy to follow the flow of water through the state. Now, I need to either find the way of making thirteen bucks or to borrow the map from my friend and never return it. This new atlas is definitely raising the benchmark in state maps.
